Dive & Hasten is Entresol's part in The Distance Between Us, a collaborative art project between Earthbound Moon Art Collective, The City of Eugene's Bridge Exhibitions project, and several Eugene, OR artists.

Artists were paired with businesses to create a sellable artwork that represented both parties. Doc's Pad (a downtown bar) and Entresol created a busy, challenging, herbal cocktail called The Dive & Hasten (named by Entresol for no real reason other than how the words sounded together phonetically).

This track functions are a soundtrack to the cocktail, or a standalone. Whatever you like.

The Cocktail Experience:

Dive & Hasten is a sturdy Fernet Branca base into which St. Germain and Mezcal are stirred. Fernet Branca was created in 1845, the year Mary and Eugene Skinner settled on the west slope of what would become later known as Skinner Butte. Dive and Hasten cocktail is served in a rocks glass. The rim is rubbed with Eucalyptus Oil for an immersive sensory experience. It is to be sipped with eyes closed to encourage the mind to wander where the flavors and smells may take it - a nod to the way humans have roamed over this Earth, for better or worse, and perhaps both simultaneously. The drink is a physical analog to Entresol's music, challenging the person partaking, the audience of the cocktail, with pleasing and abrasive flavors combined to form a whole greater than its parts. The drink also offers an opportunity to showcase the creativity of the bartending staff.
